Children's Spiritist Education
Children are immortal Spirits — bearers of experiences from previous lives, carrying with them developed abilities, unique potentials, and challenges still to be overcome. Reincarnated into families and circumstances that support their growth, they begin a new opportunity for learning, renewal, and moral development.
Spiritist Education offers loving guidance and a safe environment where children can deepen their understanding of life, strengthen moral values, and nurture their spiritual growth.
The Spiritist Education of children plays a fundamental role in their moral and spiritual development, as highlighted in the Spiritist teachings:
“A spirit incarnates in order to perfect itself. During childhood, it is more accessible to the impressions it receives, and which may assist in its progress. Persons in charge of its education should contribute towards this goal.”

“The spirit of a child may be quite old, and upon being reborn to corporeal life, it brings with it the imperfections it had not gotten rid of in its previous existences.”

Joanna de Ângelis further reminds us:
“The child is not a miniaturized adult, nor a plastic wax, easily moldable. It is a Spirit that is starting over, momentarily forgetting the positive and negative achievements it brings from past lives, committed to the achievement of happiness.”
The Importance of Spiritist Education
Childhood is a precious stage for learning the values, principles, and perspectives that form the foundation of moral and spiritual growth. During this period, children are especially receptive to experiences and teachings that help guide their evolutionary journey and support their integral development.
Spiritist Education encourages children and youth to:
• Develop moral and ethical values rooted in kindness, compassion, responsibility, and respect.
• Understand life through the lens of reincarnation, spiritual growth, and divine justice.
• Strengthen their connection with God through love, prayer, reflection, and service to others.
• Cultivate empathy, self-awareness, and a sense of purpose in their daily lives.
As Guillon Ribeiro beautifully expresses:
“The evangelized child and youth are now, undoubtedly, those citizens of the world, aware and alert, driven to build, by their own efforts, the true paths of happiness on Earth.”
And Emmanuel reminds us:
“Every child and young adult in the world is a plan of Divine Wisdom for the service of Humanity […].”
