Dear members of the Canadian Spiritist Movement,
This moment invites us to renew hope and recommit to the moral foundations that guide our path.
As we learn, "Spiritism does not create a new morality; it only makes it easier for people to understand and practice the morality of Christ by providing an unshakable and enlightened faith to those who doubt or waver." [1] Guided by this understanding, we recognize Jesus Christ as our model and guide, whose sacrifice allows us to continue learning, transforming ourselves, and striving toward higher realms.
Looking back on 2025, we can recognize how much has been accomplished. One particularly meaningful moment was our Annual General Meeting on October 26, where we shared important updates and renewed our collective commitment. This gathering went beyond governance and reaffirmed our purpose while strengthening our bonds of collaboration, unity, and fraternity.
Throughout the year, our committees achieved steady and meaningful progress, each contributing to the growth and cohesion of our national movement. Communications efforts strengthened our presence through more consistent outreach, the implementation of an annual content calendar, renewed digital infrastructure, and broader collaboration among centres. In parallel, the Events committee maintained active national coordination, laying the groundwork for future online and in-person lectures that will continue to connect and inspire our community.
In the area of Child and Youth Spiritist Education, the committee embraced a renewed vision centered on spiritual growth and shared learning. By bringing together representatives from centres across multiple provinces and conducting a national survey, the committee established a thoughtful foundation to guide meaningful future actions. Similarly, the Unification committee continued its essential work of fostering dialogue and collaboration, advancing the development of a unified repository of doctrinal materials through a careful review process that supports consistency, mutual trust, and harmony among centres.
We welcomed the launch of the Spiritist Studies committee, which will soon begin mapping Spiritist study practices across Canada while establishing a clear strategy to strengthen doctrinal foundations rooted in Allan Kardec’s core works.
These achievements reflect the quiet strength of collective service and the devotion of centres working together in love for the Spiritist cause.
This Christmas, may Christ’s message of love, humility, and renewal inspire our actions. With sincere gratitude, we wish you a 2026 filled with light, perseverance, continued collaboration, and dedicated effort toward our moral transformation. As Spiritism reminds us, "True Spiritists are recognized by their moral transformation and the efforts they make to overcome their evil inclinations." [1]
May our centres grow in harmony, and may our movement remain united in purpose and responsibility.
Fraternally,
Thiago Leite
